Newsletter Manual

The Click-IT newsletter module is supplied as an optional extra feature for those who require this advanced facility on their website. If you do not currently have this module then please contact Click-IT sales to ask for this feature to be enabled on your website. Please note there is a one-off cost of £29 to install this module.

Managing News Groups First task is to create at least one news group in which you can add members.

Create a News Group

Click the News Groups menu link, then click Create a Newsletter Group.

You are then presented with a blank form in which you can enter the title of the group and a description.

Enter the return email adress and the specific signature that will appear on all messages to this group.

If this group will be used to send important service messages to your existing clients then select Mandatory as the Optout Status. This will prevent the optout link appearing in any messages sent to this group. ie: these are messages that are important for your clients to read (not sales messages).

If the group is to be used for sending marketing messages, or it is for members who have subscribed to it, then set the Optout Status to Optional. This will add an optout link to the bottom of every email sent to this group.
